Man alive, so much has happened lately, and I've not written or posted a thing really. Guess I've not been in the blogging mood lately. Haven't had a lot of time to sit down and think undisturbed. I'll try to this week, but not sure I'll succeed, as we're leaving on our cruise a week from tomorrow!! Can't wait! Mom and Dad will be staying at our house w/ the boys, so much cleaning to do, and gonna get a list of things the kids can do to have fun while we're away--free movies and bowling, etc. I think they'll have a blast.
We went on vaca a week ago Thursday...Got back Thursday and then Frid-today we've been spending w/ Mom and Dad and the cousins, who were down visiting from TN. Beach day at Pine Island Friday, boat day yesterday w/ some scalloping, snorkeling, swimming and catching crabs. Then after church we drove over to Mom and Dad's today and hung out, ate some icecream cake, rode bikes and let the kids play on the new slip n slide, which we'd not done all summer?! That was really funny. Came inside and me and Mom hung out while all the boys and R and Papa went across the street to fish at the lake. Made it about 1/2 way thru Jane Eyre dvd before everyone came back....ahh, just getting to the juicy parts. Dang it. Mom was loving it!! It was so nice to be "home"...I love it over there and just being with the family so much.
Needless to say, with only being home Thursday, and getting in at 6am that day, my house looks like a bomb went off. I got everything unpacked other than the suitcases, but I have much laundry to do, and just plain ole tidying up, and the kitchen is horrendous from making so many bag lunches and juicing....oy. Tomorrow my goal is to return the library books, find me and R's birth certificates, hit the gym, and just clean the house. I really need to do all those things. I'm borrowing some of mom's clothes for the cruise...she has way nicer clothes than me! ha. Hoping to also hit up some shopping this week to get some new sunglasses, a dress or 2 and some new tanks and earrings....My clothes are fairly plain and worn in, so don't have much for the cruise thing. I'm so excited about going. Haven't had much time to think of it til now. It is much-needed time away from the kids.
Well, more later, and will post some pics. I have so many good ones from this weekend.
