Whew Boy!

Man alive. Life's been crazy lately. We're on the homestretch for school now. We should be done in a week and a half or so. I calculated wrong (duh) and thought we were ending 10 days before we really were. Dang you, Abeka, and your 170 lesson 1st grade books!! ha. Oh well. It's been going pretty good, despite all my sickness and "off" days. Seems like I'm still dealing w/ the morning sickness at least once or more a week pretty bad, and now I've got some sinus-y, bronchitis-y sorta thing. I'm always such a sicko when I'm preg and it drives me nuts. I go from working out 3 days a week and knocking out school and house duties like a champ, to lying on the couch for what seems like a week at a time. I'm trying not to be a big baby, but some days I just wanna cry like a little girl and throw myself a big ole pity party. Just makes days drag and so boring. Also makes me hafta cancel plans a lot, which is not me at all. Oh well, all part of the territory.

On a positive note, Baby Boy #3 seems to be growing at a rapid and ever active pace:) He is such a busy boy, and kicks the snot out of me throughout the day. Esp in the afternoons when I lay down to take a break, or late at night when I'm going to bed. He hasn't started the crazy flipping yet, but I can tell when he's moving now and my belly is definitely more crooked now. I'm still measuring 2 weeks ahead, so at 22 weeks am measuring 24, but I did the same with both boys. Next visit is my sugar test, so that should be "fun".

I'm really looking forward to summertime and have signed the boys up for a few things. Music camp for Evan for 4 days, then church camp for both (like an all-day VBS) and then swim lessons later in the summer for both. I'm hoping I feel good enough to take them to all and come home and get some crap done. I have much to do before this child comes along. Two biggest things I've gotta get accomplished are: switching the boys rooms....all furniture has to be flip flopped and new bunk bed put in E's room, E's bed turned back into a crib, and Baby Boy's room decorated and set up ready to go.....

Also gotta get next year's school lined up, organized and ready to go. Just finished ordering E's books. We're going w/ a diff curriculum this year and so I'm a bit nervous. Trying to do something less rigid and more fun and hands-on. This will be a stretch for my Type A personality (at least Type A when it comes to school), but think it'll be a better approach for us next year. I'm tired of the hardcore lessons w/ tons of seatwork and want him to have more fun learning doing more hands on stuff and literature type stuff. I took a gamble on the math and am hoping and praying I bought the right level. The sample pages online don't seem to help much, as some grades they only show the 1st few pages and the other grades show the ending pages! UGH> wish they'd show both of all grades so I can have some kinda scale. So, yeah. I'm hoping to get everything all laminated and laid out and sorta figured out before this bambino comes along. We'll prob'ly start sometime in July (end) since PS is starting like August 5th. Just thinking of it all makes me sorta crazy and numb. hhaa. I hope I don't lose my mind.

My boys are currently laughing their fool heads off playing Napoleon Dynamite on their DS. They only have one so they sit together and one plays while they both laugh. It's pretty funny. I love how they really are best friends despite all the fighting and bickering.

I guess not much else is going on. R's been working a ton, so it's been more lonely around here. We had a good Mother's Day. Went over to Mom's for the afternoon and chilled. I showed her some of E's new curriculum I got and then we all went out to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. Love that place. Went home and the boys rode bikes a ton more. Decided to take M's training wheels off on a whim and he rode off like a pro. So dang funny. Seems like he does everything about 2 yrs earlier than Evan. E just learned a couple months back. Now they lay down 2x4's on the patio and have learned to jump their bikes...like literally lifting their handlebars and doing a bunny hop over the wood. I shake my head and laugh....It's like I can see them fast forwarded into their teens giving me a heart attack on their BMX bikes. Boys. Wow. I think I'll take up yoga and meditation soon to deal w/ the anxiety. hha. I really am getting better. Way more laid back than I was when they were little.

Evan, before his summer haircut, knocking out some Phonics. So proud of him this year. It's been one heck of an intense year for learning.

Me at 21 weeks:)

Me and the boys before church on Mother's Day. I put my makeup on in the car, so don't be scared. How cute do these boys look? R actually dressed them. Proud moment there.

Me and my Mom on Mother's Day:) Love her!!

Oh yeah, little Big man! He thinks he's so cool now.

Can't believe my baby is almost 5....he still seems like a toddler to me.
