This is actually the 2nd time we've taken a school fieldtrip to Lego Land this school year. We love it there, which makes it worth the 2 and 1/2 hr LONG drive. The 1st time we went, all of us rode all the rollercoasters. Evan's face looked freaked and ashen the whole time but he'd insist he was having a great time. Miles, on the other hand, just calmly smiled and laughed on the rides. He totally loved it. I was holding onto my "baby" for dear life, just knowing he was gonna rocket outta the rollercoasters at each and every turn or hill. I screamed bloody murder on all of them....yes, even on the Coastersaurus...smh.
Needless to say, when I mentioned that this time Mommy couldn't go on the rides bc I have a baby in my belly, Evan jumped on that wagon and said he'd stay w/ me. He rode zero coasters this time, whereas my husband so lovingly took Miles on the scariest rollercoaster in the park 4x in a row, and 2x after lunch. He loved every minute. I got out my rosary and prayed. Just kidding. I don't have a rosary. The kids had a great time, although I was sick as a dog and wanting to park on the nearest lego bench to sleep away my severe nausea and stomach pain. It was ROUGH. And hot as Hades too. Burned the crap outta my scalp....
Here are some cool pics of the day. We got a lot done this trip. We moved at a much faster pace. Lego Land is the best park for young kids, in my opinion. So much to do there, and very few rides they are too short for, and that's saying a lot for my boys:)
| 1st stop was the Lego carousel:) |
| Driving School is my absolute fave! The boys get to drive by themselves and get a little driver's license when they're finished:) So hilarious to watch them in the cars. |
| Evan, Mr. Serious Driver. He's also the hall monitor, yelling out when others don't stop or pass illegally. Hhaha. I'm hoping he'll stay like that well into his teens. |
| Evan out for a drive. |
| Daddy helped the boys did the fire rescue challenge. It was hilarious. The lego worker guy had to help push their truck back bc Evan kept taking it outta gear. hhaa. |
| Ready to go boating:) |
| The boats are the best. Basically the kids just drive and hit every single wall known to man. |
| Miles and Rachel. They had a faulty boat, so had to be rescued a few times. |
| Randall, my baby boy and 2 friends from HS group on the scariest coaster. Dear word. |
| The boys w/ some of their friends from HS group:) |
| So pretty. All the animals and fish are made of legos. So funny. |
| 4D Lego movie theater. Can you say pumping AC and getting sprayed w/ ice cold water? Sign me up! |
| Spotted a baby gator in the canal in old Cypress Gardens! |
| Found the Travelocity Lego Gnome:) |
| The boys and I in front of the old Cypress Gardens area. I remember posing by these real life ladies when I was a kid. Now they're all made of legos. Cracks me up. |
| Family pic. End of the day and little brother being a complete pumpkin head. |
| Awesome Banyan tree in the gardens. |
| Coolest tree I've ever seen! |
| Once again, M being a punk. Once he gets past the tired point, there's no pic taking w/ him. |
| Finally got him to smile for me. lol |
| The pirate show down at the lagoon. |
| The ski show still amazes me to this day. I watched this when I was about 8 yrs old w/ my G'ma. Never gets old. |
| Me and E on the Safari ride while Daddy and Brother are on another rollercoaster:) |
Great pics! Enjoyed your post!
