So it's Friday night. Had a pretty good day today. Actually got outta the house for a bit today which was AWESOME since we've been homebound all week w/ this sickness junk. went over to the library to return all our books which were overdue. looked for over an hour for a dumb Veggie Tales dvd, only to find out tonight it was in Randall's truck. i was just relieved he found it. i hateeee losing stuff. never have so far, so that was good. went in and went to check out and the lady disappeared and, to my surprise returned w/ "Unbroken", which i'd been waiting on for a few weeks. J.B. had read it and my mom beat me to reading it, so i was psyched. I guess if i'd checked my phone messages--hadn't since July 4th---i'd have known they called to let me know it was in. whoops. started reading it, and just like Seabiscuit, Hillenbrand tells the most interesting parts of everyone's lives. so fun to read and just laugh at all the crazy stuff the characters do. she really can tell a story. i sometimes wonder if i could write a book. prob'ly about my life, so it prob'ly wouldn't be all that interesting, but i can sure come up w/ some funny stuff sometimes. at least i crack myself up. hhaa. the boys found some cool train books in the older kids section, and were pouring over that, fighting over it even, so that was so cute. think i'll start making more conscious decisions about what books we choose. alot that we rent are so young for Evan. more Miles' level, but at least we're reading. i cannot WAIT til E is reading. he so loves him some books. so proud of him.

went from the library to BK. not my fave choice but i got a salad and a sprite. didn't do the caffeine but the HFCS, so not the best, but hey, i wanted it. boys ate their food and then got them a vanilla cone. they've prob'ly only had 3 cones in their lives so it was so funny. Evan actually tried the cone this time. he usually won't bite it. he was covered. Miles just sat for like 30 min straight doing one little lick at a time. so patient. had to take it and clean up the drips a few times. he's not a big icecream man, so i was impressed at his perseverence today. hhaa. that BK always employs ppl w/ learning disabilities or handicaps, so it was so nice to see that today. it brought me joy to watch the guy at the counter taking the orders. almost like he had turrets (sp?? can't think of it tonight) but was such a joyful, nice guy. so sweet. reminded me of when i got stuck on the short bus on my way to work, with a busload of mentally handicapped ppl and i was laughing and just so happy the rest of the day. I picture them all up in Heaven one day. so sweet. like innocent children.
anywho, i'm rambling. prob'ly sounding very PI, but whatever. we had a great lil ole time and came home, called Miss Mary and threw on our swimsuits and went over and went swimming in between rain storms. she showed us the inside of their new pimped out motor home. wow!!! talk about snazzy. crazy nice. the boys were so rambunctious over there, whew!!! like crazy banshees. i hate it when they do that when i'm around ppl i don't know that well. couldn't help but think it was from eating the crap food. ugh. they don't get sugar much, so when they do, whew boy! but they sure had fun. E wasn't swimming as strong today, so need to get him in the water more. he just needs to build up his strength. he's been very needy lately in needing praise and affirmation. he's so much like me, it's crazy. everything brother does and we praise, he belts out with " I CAN DO THAT TOO!! LOOK!!!" so i'm really trying to praise him for everything. i try to see each of my boys as individuals, and never favor. crazy how diff they are. But E can wear me down w/ the needy-ness. love him though. came home and after dinner just really wanted them to have a fun movie night. hadn't done that all summer. really wanted to go buy Up, but wasn't really dressed and looked like smack and R said he wasn't going out again. it's not a watch now on Netflix so had to let him watch a couple little shows and finally Curious George 2, which had a train in it, so score!! M went to bed early for being a punk, so just E was up. told R we should do that, just let 1 kid stay up on their given night, even for an hour, just alone w/ us. so sweet cuddling and loving and tickling my boy. he is getting so tall and skinny and mature now. makes me happy and sad at the same time. he is just a cool kid.
well, i should hit it. i will regret this as always. i won't be able to do this much longer. peace
