So it's actually been below "sauna" and been nice and crisp and COLD the last 2 days!!! I mean like 40-some in the mornings and heats up to the low 70's during the day! I swear, it really feels like FALL! My favorite time of the year!!! I am loving it. I hear it's s'posed to last about 10 days then heat back up again, but hey, I will take what I can get to get me in the holiday spirit! I can't wait to do my long run tomorrow in this blissful weather. We'll be going back over to Mom and Dad's after church, so am looking forward to my 2 laps around Mom's cool neighborhood:)
Today was my day off and Mom came over so we could go to the pumpkin patch in Dunnellon. We didn't go last year but I heard it was really great, and the ppl who own it go to 1st Baptist in Dunnellon where the boys go to Awana--really sweet ppl. Crazy that we have a pickin' patch so close to where we live. It's literally right past the library. There was a 2$ entry fee for us all, except for M, who still meets the underage requirement. They had a field of sunflowers you could take pics in and clip to take home for a couple bucks apiece, and rows of corn, a field of pumpkins and gourds, and little tent full of photo ops, and some bails of hay set on end for the kids to jump and play on. It was so cute!!! Course the boys, or should i say BOY (Miles), wouldn't cooperate much for photos today, so i was about to pull my hair out a few times. We took a hay ride around the patch when we 1st got there, then we took some pics on the tractor and in the sunflowers, then got a wagon and went searching for our perfect pumpkin(s)!! They let the whole field fill with weeds bc I guess if they don't, the FL heat just blasts the pumpkins and they all die, so I was on high alert for snakes. hhaa. We went later, so there weren't as many pumpkins, but still plenty for ppl to find. Even found a few on the vine---so cool! Def not Burt's from last year, but the best thing I've ever seen in the state of Florida!! Here's some pics of our trip:)
