Exciting New Happenings!!

Taking the crib/toddler bed apart:( sniff sniff.

Soooo, guess what we're Randall's doing tonight??? Putting together E's new Big Boy Bed!!! cannot believe my boy is so grown. R had gotten the metal bed rails a couple months ago and FINALLY came home w/ the full mattress/boxspring today. he's tried to get it several times before but it was always raining, sooo, he finally got it home today! I'm soo happy, as i've had E's new bedding set for months now and can't wait to put it on his bed and get his room all finished and more put-together. Gotta stop at wally and get him a waterproof mattress pad thingy as he still wets the bed some, hit or miss. SOO happy. not sure if we're rearranging the room or just leaving his bed against the wall under his name/palmtree to free up more floorspace. Jamie had that idea and really made sense. had thought about it the other day but didn't know. but that would leave only 1 side for him to fall off of;) not sure about the bedrail. he is always hanging his legs/arms over his toddler bed one, so i'm nervous he'll fall outta bed. maybe a body pillow? hmm. wish there was a dinosaur body pillow. that'd be awesome. Also, tonight was the boys' 1st night at Awana at Dunnellon 1st Baptist. It was a little chaotic at 1st dropping them off, which is the norm for the 1st night anywhere IMO, but E and M got on the circle and did the pledges, well at least to the American flag, and then i went in and dropped M off in his little Puggles class. there was only 1 other boy and girl in there and 2 teachers, so not so overwhelming for me. He looked so grown up and proud of himself and ran right in and started playing. they have a b'room in there w/ a tiny toilet so he got to try that out. so funny. he was wearing E's old Puggle's shirt and wow...sniff sniff, can't believe my BABY is wearing that now. E is in the Spark's class. didn't even cross my mind that he and his buddy Ashton would be in diff classes..they asked me what grade he was in and i spurted out Kindergarten, so i'll see how he does in that class. i went and asked the head lady about changing him back to Cubbies but she was pretty adament about kindergartners needing to be in Sparks, so i was like oh kay. he looked kinda lost in there and w/ his easily being distracted issue, was sorta cracking him up watching him. They said he did fine, so i hope he did. his teachers seem soo nice. one's the pastor's wife and another was really nice when i talked to her. so i think it's gonna be great. felt way better than i did the other night when the 2nd graders were out in full ultimate fighting mode, throwing sucker punches to the head! ha. so yeah...so many new things going on this year. feels like i'm just hanging on for the ride. but i'm so proud of my boys. They are growing up and getting their little personalities and independence and it's hard for me to let go and accept that change sometimes, but it also feels good. I ran over to Publix and did some intense speed shopping and got alot of Bogo's and orgnanic ckn and s'more fruits/veggies. we've been going thru produce at lightning speed, but i guess that's good, right? made some mini meatloafs tonight. Tabetha was on the phone and had the idea to put them in muffin tins and i was like, AWESOME, def doing that. they turned out so great and took me literally a total of 30 min between prep and cook time. not too too much grease on the bottom, as i use 93.7 but still trying to think of ways to sop up that grease on the bottom. i use pc's of ww bread for my big loaf pan. hmmm. Def a hit though. E had 3, me and M had 2 and R ate the last FIVE!!! he was going on and on about how amazing they were, so that was cool:)) been not too impressed w/ the last few new meals i've tried , so this one was def a keeper.

well, better go unload the car. i bet my crap is defrosting! ugh. later tater. will post the pics later as my phone isn't uploading them to picasa obviously.
