Forgot to write anything about what we did for M's b'day. He turned the big #3 on Thursday!!! Cannot believe he is already 3. I still call him my baby, but he is getting so tall/skinny like Evan did at that age. He is getting a little mind of his own and trying me and his brother more, but is still so hilarious and good-natured. i'm just so glad he is in our life and such a cool kid. so grateful. For his b'day we just had a laid-back morning letting the boys play, while i was in the kitchen making him some vanilla cupcakes w/ homemade chocolate buttercream frosting (pms'ing much? naww!). after i mixed up the frosting, let him lick a big ole beater and just enjoy. had frosting all over his arms and face. soo funny. I let him stay up and watch "Monsters, Inc" instead of his usual nap, which was good. We let him pick the movie, go first and play w/ whatever he wanted all day--we declared it HIS day! he decided he wanted Pizza for dinner-- shocker of all shocks, so we all went as a family to Pizza Hut and got a large stuffed crust pizza and cheesy bread and let the boys buy some "crazy finger hair" from the quarter machines there. Then we all piled into cars and went to Wally to let him and brother play in the toy aisle and eventually pick out one toy. :) they had fun getting out just about every single Thomas train and putting them all on the floor of the train aisle:) the toy dpt lady walked by and looked really tired:) i assured her we would clean it all up and she said no biggy. that a bunch of hoodlums had been there earlier in the week and had opened the big bag of 100 plastic balls and left them all over the floor. kids these days. where are the parents?! then M and E wanted to ride bikes. E tried the next size up which fit him perfectly and had a vrooming handle that sounded like a motorcycle. he thought it was pretty awesome. I tried out a beach cruiser bike, which felt really weird w/ it's Pee Wee Herman handles, but made a couple laps:) it was cool but a little too girly looking for me w/ pink and flowers. but i've always wanted one for the beach! All was fun n games til M ran his finger into a shelf and cut it open, so had to make a pitstop to buy bandaids bc no employee was anywhere around to see if they had a 1st aid kit. He picked out camo bandaids which i thought was pretty funny out of all the choices he had. He picked out a "Dash" battery operated train as his present, and he was sooo excited he even told the cashier all about it. so cute. R took the boys home and i stayed and did 2 weeks worth of menu shopping before coming home around 10--phew. hate shopping anymore. fries my brain.
Here's a few pics from our fun lil night:)
