His Ways

So, got up today for work. Wasn't feeling it at all. Actually wanted to cry like a spoiled little 5 yr old and call in. But i got up and started praying. only had 2 1-hr massages on my book and prayeddd I wouldn't get anymore. 1st thing when i got there, Chery's daughter's car broke down (she was my 2nd client) so she couldn't come in. I'm like, Wow God, not only did you clear the rest of my day but you just made it easier. But alas, while passing by the front desk, overheard a guest trying to book an 11:30 massage with me. So i told her i had a 10:15 available, which in turn worked out better for her, so she scheduled not only a massage but 2 other services as well. Then, TWO more call ins. So yeah, my day went from 2, to 1, to FOUR! But after my 1st one, started feeling Good and busted them out w/ little effort. Even had good luck w/ my hot stones by adding the boiling water from the hydro room in my crock. heated up nicely to nearly 140 degrees and wowed Sharon once again w/ my skills:) Always nice, because after almost 6 yrs of working with her, every other Saturday, I always have a nagging feeling she feels my massages are all predictable and the same. Nice to be able to give her something new to experience and go on about. The next 3 clients were all very nice, and the 3rd one rebooked for two weeks!!  So, God knew what i needed today. Proved once again, His Ways are NOT my ways. i would have preferred to sit at home and mope about, while cleaning the house. Randall ended up driving w/ the boys and dog up to Jax to buy and retrieve our "new" vehicle, a 2002 Explorer. It looks like a big twin to our Escape, same colors and all. He plans to resell it shortly, as it doesn't have the 3rd row seating we want and he got it for a STEAL---2 grand!!! about 1/2 of what they are going for right now. I asked if i could at least drive it around for a week or 2 before he sells it, but not sure that'll work out:) fun to dream. the front seat/windshield area seem smaller than my car now--weird. but the trunk goes on forever. looks like a hummer limo inside! Couldn't believe he got such a good deal, jumped in the car w/ the kids and even went so far as to rent a car dolly to do it by himself. talk about determined. so that was exciting. maybe not as exciting as purchasing the squad car, but hey.
  Took my hard-earned tip money to the mini mall and went to JC Penney and got a bunch of clearance shirts to last me to the end of summer and some NEW JEANS! actually Levi's. been a few yrs since i've worn those. really cute and cute pockets. they are stepping it up a notch in that dept!! need to be hemmed, so i think this time i really might take them and get it done. never have before, other than mom doing it.
  Well, gotta run. gotta get back to running tomorrow. no more whining and bailing and being am emotional girl. time to get on it.
We're gonna try Dunnellon 1st Baptist tomorrow. Ash is going too, so it'll be good to have someone to sit with. i'm ready for a change. our church is way too big and impersonal. love the preaching, but that's pretty much where it ends.
