Beat the Sheriff 5k

So it's after 2am in the morning, no school planned for the week. looks like tomorrow might be a doozy. Was on here for like 2 hrs w/ Suzanne, my very techy 2nd cousin, uploading all the pics from my phone onto iPhoto...OMG, i hate Mac sometimes!

So i'm gonna attempt to put some pics on here from my iphoto. if i can't, then i'm up another creek. so here goes: Okay, so i finally figured out how to get them on here from iPhoto!!! woo eee! These are all pics from yesterday at the 5k. Had a great time, and despite not beating my best time, i feel i did my best and ran my heart out. i was proud of myself. Had G'ma on my mind the whole morning and race ,as yesterday marked the 4 year mark of when she died. Really helped to spur me on to pushing all out. I knew she would be proud of me. Man, i miss her.
Now, i'd better get to bed or i won't function at all! wow

Almost there. Dying right about now...feeling light-headed. Pretty bummed at this point that i didn't break thru to
somewhere in the 27 min mark:( But proud of myself. Miles ran out on the course and yelled MOMMY!!! at this point.
It was sooo cute! if i had more energy i woulda scooped him up and ran him in my arms to the finish. But alas, i woulda
fallen and crushed us both! ha

Actually slowed a bit to let this little tidbit beat me;) didn't wanna run her down in the finishing gate. Official time 28.12, 5th place outta 16 in my age bracket. not too shabby. 54th woman overall. 165?? outta 450 ppl. I love to look
at all those stats so i don't feel so mediocre;) haaa.

Me and my sweetie boys. I think they've been to all but 2 of my races. Just love to hear them cheer me on. makes me really bust some tail!

So out of all the kids waiting for the race to start, Sheriff Dawsy decides to stand behind OUR two boys!! lol! He prob'ly thought they looked like trouble, no doubt. He patted Miles' hair and one point and told him he liked his hair. E kept trying to talk his ear off. Pretty hilarious.

Sadly, the only pic I got of Evan running. Got sidetracked by Miles in a few seconds. He was so into it. Told me he was going to "overtake" the other kids. He did so good. middle of the pack i'd say.

Miles was the littlest kid and the back of the pack. The Sheriff was right behind him cheering him on....then all of a sudden he veers off the road and does a circle behind the sheriff, having a complete breakdown crying. oh man...

Daddy had to go help him finish. Improvement over last year when he broke down at the starting line and wouldn't run at all. We don't know what happened. i think he just was like, omg, i'm all alone out here and just lost it. R said maybe he thought the sheriff was him(Daddy) and then saw he wasn't and was like what the heck. either way, so dang funny.

My awesome boys. Just love them so. So much fun today. back left of the pic is "Smiling Suzy" all decked out in gator garb. she goes to our church and is a riot. she finished somewhere around 30 minutes. not too shabby for a senior gal!!!
