Today started the 1st day of 8 days of swim lessons:) We've been taking the same lessons since Evan was 2 or 3 yrs old. Today was Miles' 1st day of real lessons, as last year we did the Mommy and Me ones. We prepped the boys some yesterday and all morning about the "rules"...1)LISTEN! 2)Do what your teacher says. 3)If you must talk, raise your hand 1st. 4) Don't say "I can't" but "I'll try". They did really awesome!
Randall ended up meeting me there. We opted for 2 weeks of morning lessons, instead of 4 weeks of evening ones--gettem' outta the way! Evan did amazing...prob'ly the best in his class. Wondering if I shoulda moved him up to the next class? And M wasn't so sure about any of it. He acted shy and had that kinda mean face going on w/ the slight smile:) He has never really been in a deeper pool w/out his puddle jumper on, so he was the last in the pool, and hung onto the pole for dear life until the teacher told him to just put his feet down. Once he realized he could touch, he started bouncing and smiling even bigger. Pretty dang funny! Evan was a little chatty, but just cracked me up nontheless, asking what order they were gonna learn things in, when they were gonna jump off the diving board, etc. The kids in his class are calm and good (for once), so he sat and didn't act like a heathen, so that was great.
Before class, was watching as Evan was chatting it up w/ his classmates. One kid introduced himself and E took his hand and shook it, like a "nice to meet you" type thing. I was cracking up. Def not shy, that one! Overall, a great day. Followed it up by playing on the playground for awhile and then hitting up Wendy's for lunch.

| Miles, last in the pool, very serious look on his face. Thought he might cry, but he toughed it out! |

| M's 1st trip into the water. He looked so relaxed out there. He's always been a water baby. |
| Course Evan has to jump 1/2 way across the pool when the teacher says just hop in! ha |
| Paddling and kicking. Look how good all his little friends are being. So nice |
