On a brighter note, I went to the doc yesterday afternoon w/ R. My GI. He was extremely nice and thoughtful and just sat back relaxed while I asked about 10 questions. Right off the bat he said 4 more weeks of the low residue thing and then my colonoscopy. It's scheduled for March 12th...fun times. I was relieved though, that it's on the books. I really need more answers. He's still not convinced it was diverticulitis, but more of colitis, which is a generic catch-all kind of diagnosis. He thinks I ate something funky, like maybe those meatballs weren't fully cooked, and my intestines got all crazy. I'm hoping he's right. He did say I could eat more normal stuff, like bbq sauce, onions, garlic, tomatoes, etc as long as they are fully cooked and soft!! But he put a lockdown on fruit, saying he only wanted me to eat soft bananas, not even those little peach/pear fruit cups. That's tough, bc I LOVE fruit and eat a ton, but at this point I don't care. I just want to get well, and what's 4 more weeks?! I can hang:) Also told me to "use my discretion" at the gym, so that is great!! The funniest thing about the whole visit was him asking "where's your Mom today, she couldn't come??!!" and then at the end "Now make SURE you tell your Mom I answered ALL of your questions today, okay?!" Hhhhaaa. I about died laughing. I guess when she told him what was up in the hospital, she really left an impression. Hey, he was insanely nice now, so whatever works:) I'm actually glad that R went bc he stepped up and asked some over the top embarrassing questions about my bathroom habits, to which I just hung my head in shame and prob'ly even blushed, even though I never blush. Needless to say, I stopped by the walgreens and had to find the "laxatives" aisle for the 1st time. I never thought I'd see the day. All I could think of at the register is, THIS IS FOR MY GRANDPA!!! NOT ME!!! hhhhhaaaaa. Oh man. shaking my head. Just crazy. I'm officially O.L.D. now...34 today. Sounds weird.
Love and peace and Happy Valentine's Day!!! <3<3<3
