| Nice Name. |
So I went to my general doc today. My apt was at 9:30 and by the time I saw the PA and then the doc, I left at noon. Crazy long time to wait. I had to keep reminding myself to be in the moment and state my bid-ness once they got in. I think that's why docs make you wait so long...so you forget everything you wanted to say by the time they come into your room;) I had a list of things. Both listened to me and spent a good deal of time w/ me once they got there. Basically, nothing new learned...just waiting to go to my GI on Monday of next week and ask him more detailed questions about my diet and what do do next? My doc (Doctor D I call him), did tell me that taking a probiotic would help me right now, so I picked up some at Walgreens. I went next door to the Medi Spa to try to get the perscription strength, but w/ the nurse gone and the 18ish year old who didn't even know what a probiotic was, this bottle was all I could find, and it never stated it was a probiotic. Sooo, I left, since it was 50 bucks and stuck w/ the Walgreens 26$ cheapo til I could find a better one. Got some good ideas from my FB friends, so will be checking that out. Never had I thought so much about my colon and plumbing so much in my life. I am officially OLD.
Just got home from Bunco. It was so much fun, and much needed. Gave the ole colon a workout w/ all the laughter. I wasn't the big winner, but did win a tube of lipstick that doubled as a pen. Ha. That should be classy in church taking notes:) I did eat a couple things, some apple pie I took and some mocha crepes (2 small), but there was so much I couldn't eat. I think that was prob'ly a good thing. My old faithful 7 yr old jeans that I gauge my weight by are fitting looser these days, so I think I'm doing okay. With how little I've been eating you'd think I'd be 140 lbs by now. Ha. As if. I'll take my 6 lb weight loss thankyouverymuch! About the only plus to feeling like poo.
Not much else is up. Katy watched the boys so I could go to the doc. Felt bad that the apt lasted SO dang long bc w/ her homeschooling too, put a hurtin' on her school day. We did school after lunch when M went to bed. Evan rocked it, although certain things are becoming harder to understand.
Miles woke up from his nap and came out sporting a PACIFIER of all things. I was like, WHAT in the world son?! He took it out to tell me it was a pacifier. I replied, but those are for babies...and then he took it out to tell me he wanted to be a baby today. I was cracking up so hard. He is a riot. He figured out how to open up my hope chest in the playroom, and has gotten all his loud, noisy baby toys out. I guess he doesn't want to grow up. Or maybe he's telling me he wants a sister. Dr D did tell me that pregnancy theoretically could make diverticulitis worse....interesting thought. I know ppl have been prego w/ much scarier issues and done fine. But didn't make me wanna get knocked up anytime soon;) I'll ask the GI more about it. I'm not getting any younger.
