Lots to do

We just finished up with school. Man, we got a LOT done today. Amazing how much faster it goes when you plan ahead and have all the papers/games/flashcards pulled and in the folder ahead of time:) Evan is rocking the school. I am so proud of him. When I keep the day flowing fast and switch between papers (he has so many now), games, and crafts, he does so well:) Today we learned a smidge about President George Washington. I need to get more on the ball about renting books from the library ahead of time and really teaching him about the diff holidays and what they mean. I did great at Christmas and Thanksgiving, but the others have been a little shoddy. I did look ahead in his social studies book and find a couple pages about presidents and GW himself, so we did that too:) Made me feel a little better at least;) I am going to start incorporating more SS and arts/crafts every day into our school time. Even with all our work today, we only took a bit over an hour. He finished up with the cute word puzzle game Katy gave us. You put the puzzles together  and then read what the sentences say. He was reading them so good by looking at the pics for clues to the words! I'm just so proud of him. I've been doing school with Miles too, which consists of 1-2 numbers papers. He usually colors or glues something, or even paints on them, so it's like a craft too. He did that today and then we helped him do a 20 piece "blue" puzzle, where everything on the puzzle is the color blue. He smiles and is so proud of himself these days, and tells me to "come look at my WORK Mommy!!"...so funny. He cracks me up. I just felt him and he has a temp again. Not sure what's up w/ the temp off and on every few days. ugh.

Well, looking forward to my trip this week. We weren't sure it was gonna happen, so it feels like everything has been thrown together last minute. I'm meeting/taking a couple friends up to the cabin for a few days and I can't wait. It is a belated b'day trip for me. I'm so looking forward to being KID-FREE and being able to go whereever we want!!! I'm hoping it's cooler and that we can walk on the walking trail down by the river and just enjoy the beauty, go to Mercier, hike to some waterfalls, and who knows what else. Horseback riding has been kicked around, and since it's winter, no whitewater rafting:(( But it will be so nice. I can't wait.

Had to block/unsubscribe to s'more ppl on FB today. It amazes me how ppl love to start drama, when I'm not even talking to them or even their friend on there. Funny how ppl can be so bold but yet can't say it to your face. I'd love to say a big fat "grow up" right now, but it's not worth wasting my breath or time. Some ppl just love to be miserable and cause strife, and I'm not going to be a party to it anymore or deal with that at all. If I see drama, relentless sarcasm, over negativity or any of the like, it's getting deleted, blocked or unsubscribed to. I will not allow it in my life any more. I'm just ticked I didn't take the bull by the horns before I did. I don't need my stomach in knots over idiocracy. Feels so freeing to not have it anymore.

Well, off to feed the kids a late lunch. Peace out
