Favorites Friday!!

Yay!! Friday! I so look forward to this day. I know this must boggle some ppl's mind, as they must think, "why does she care? she's always at home??", but just knowing my husband is gonna be home in the evening and will be with him and my boys all weekend makes my heart happy:).

Some of my favorite things?? I need to start writing them down during the week when they come to me!

1) My giant spoon and fork. I got these for $1.50 for the pair at a yard sale. Yes, the ppl I bought them from were like 80, but I just love these! They are so massive, and the perfect color wood that matches my dining room, and, they fit perfectly on my narrow wall in my kitchen. Reminds me of Ray's Mom's kitchen in "Everybody loves Raymond"!! What a steal! Pretty sure Pottery Barn saw a pic of my spoon/fork and then started selling theirs. I am a style setter!
I think they look rad!

2) Yard sales. Went over to a friend's house today and got all this:
Old Navy coat w/ hood, 2 collared s/s shirts, one
Children's Place sweater, Nike Air Jordan lowtops,
Gymboree plaid shorts, and a pr
of jeans for Lily:) This is the only way my kids have
name brands, I swear!

Got all these for Miles. So nice to get some newer, different clothes for Miles, as a lot of his clothes are hand-me-downs from Evan, which are pretty worn, and are usually from another yard sale/consignment, or hand-me-down from his 3 cousins. I paid 15$ for all this!! What a steal! I LOVE yard sales and finding great steals! Also where I snag a lot of my hardback books--for a buck!

3) Sitting out on my patio. This is something I do daily, watching the boys ride their bikes back and forth about a million times. Love to just sit on my little "couch", watch the trees blow in the wind, watch the planes fly overhead and see the clouds moving across the sky. It's so relaxing and peaceful. When I'm not yelling at the kids to stop throwing sand or stealing each other's bikes:).
My view from my "couch". Love how our property has no one around
on either side, and we look out at the beautiful trees!

Beautiful blue sky and clouds today:)

looking the other way. Kids go zooming down and around the sidewalk.
Wood/branches in the yard for our firepit:) Hammock and playset in the
background. Our backyard is my favorite thing about our house!

4) Getting free stuff!! Just had another party at my house. I usually have one about 2x a year. This time tried out Scentsy, which is soy, wickless candles and burners. We had a great time eating, laughing, and chilling and smelling the 80 diff scents that they carry. I love my Scentsy plug-in and the wonderful aromas milling about my house now that I have it. Smells like I've just baked all day! I ended up w/ $71 in free stuff and 3 1/2 price items, so got a Christmas gift for my MIL and a baby gift outta the way, and another plug-in and full size warmer for myself, along with 11 new scents to try out!!! FUN!
Ordered the Santa Fe and 3 scentsy bars for my MIL. She loves
turquoise and the whole southwestern style.

Got the black one to go in my bath. Plug-in won't fit in the
boy's bath, as the outlet is too close to the wall/mirror. Sad,
bc I was looking forward to masking some kid urine smell!:(

Lisbon(middle) is the full-size I ordered for my bedroom!

The plug-in I have in my kitchen. Love how it looks like pottery. Makes my
whole house smell SO good, esp. "Central Park Praline"!! Mmmm!

5) The movies! I'm a huge movie fan. I love movies, but namely going to the theater. It's so fun to watch it on the big screen, eat candy and laugh w/ friends. I also go by myself a lot, and enjoy the peace and serenity of getting away and relaxing. Tonight going to see Breaking Dawn w/ my girl Ash and possibly Dang and her daughters. Looks like it's gonna be a good one:))!
Me, Edward and Bella...not a real flattering pic of myself,
but hey. We're together, and that's all that matters. Once
he found out I was taken, he had to settle for her.

Just a few of my favorite things. Things that make me happy and enjoy life.
Cheers to a great weekend!
