New Shoes

So we drove from the cabin to Stone Mountain, Ga today. Only about a 1.5 hr trek. Randall had the cool idea to hit up Stone Mountain, which is an amusement park of sorts. I will hafta take pics. We went there before we had kids and it was really cool. It's a huge rock mountain and you take a cable lift thingy to get up there. Really freaky, but cool. There's carvings of some presidents, or generals? on the side of the mountain. Reminds me of like a Silver Dollar City kind of place...very country and outdoorsy and all. So Randall looked up ticket prices etc online and found that if you go to Kroger (grocery store) you could get 7 bucks off each ticket. So, we did! While he was researching that, I got online at RoadRunnerSports.com and looked up shoes etc and wrote down all the names, then looked up Sport's Authority and found a few. So we drove to Kroger, then over to Sport's Authority, where I tried on 4 diff pair of shoes: Asics Cumulus, Asics Nimbus, Nike Air Pegasus, and New Balance 7-something's?? The NB were junk, the Nike's were cool but felt not nearly as well made as Asics. I didn't think they'd last as long and they were pretty roomy in the toe box. I just couldn't picture myself running a 1/2 in them? But they were SOO cute. UGH! so I decided between the Nimbus 12's (yes, the 13's are already out) and the Cumulus. Ended up w/ the Nimbus's and really like them a lot. They are pretty boring looking, but def cooler than my Landreth's, so I was happy. Even picked up a matching pair of dark pink (maybe fuschia?) laces to replace the white ones they came with. Course, got back to the hotel and can't find the laces anywhere, so will scour the car for the 3rd time tomorrow or head back over to the store to get another pair. UGH. so frustrating!! But here's a pic of my shoes:
My new kicks: Asics Gel Nimbus 12's. Got dark pink laces to match.
Also, when we went to the outlets the other day, got some BOGO 1/2 off for the boys!! They had such awesome styles for kids, and E wears all his crocs and shoes out so much that M never has any nice shoes, so we decided to splurge. Spent 30 between both, which is more than I normally would, but Crocs last forever. Here's pics of theirs:
Miles' new crocs. Thought they'd look cute with
jeans and at church too!

Evan's new croc flip-flops of sorts. They are so cute
on and thought they'd be his new shoes for spring/summer.
