Christmas Day Recap

Looked back over my posts and realized I didn't say anything about Christmas Day. We got up and went to church at 10:30. We let the boys each open 1 gift (each a train--shocker), and then off we went to church. Pretty awesome being in the Lord's house on Christmas:) Can't remember a Sunday Christmas or ever being at church on that day?

Came home and ate bc we were starved and waited for Mom and Dad to get outta church and come over. They came, baring (bearing?) a big spiral ham and all the fixin's and plenty of gifts. Each year we say we're not gonna go all out, yet we still manage to have a ton of presents.

Dad started by reading the Christmas story outta Luke 2.

 I think both boys really got it this year, as we'd been going over Christ's birth all month and really talking a lot about it:) They listened so well. Then we "wrapped" gifts, as Evan kept saying. "I wanna wrap a gift!!!" ...too funny. They had such great reactions to everything this year and had a ball.

Evan, seriously psyched over a new pack of socks! Ha! He really did need them so bad!

This pic just cracks me up. Towards the end of the gifts I let Evan open his "big gift"...both boys just stared:) GEOTRAX!

And kept up w/ the opening. Up til now, it would take like 4 hrs or more and they still wouldn't open everything bc they had to stop and PLAY with every single thing. We blew thru everything at a good pace and the living room was a complete disaster after. It was a great year, in that, every single adult was completely surprised by a few gifts.

Me, w/ my favorite gift!!! My new pimped out Garmin 405 watch w/ all the bells and whistles!! Can't wait to try this out!

Biggest surprise of the day was giving my Dad and Randall both air rifles w/ pellets and bb's!! My Dad was so excited--surprised me! Watch out, Squirrels!!

Vicky's Secret was good to me this year. I desperately needed some new undergarments, so I was stoked:)

We all did good about getting each other special gifts. It was just a hoot. Randall literally had me falling on the ground laughing w/ one of my gifts. I was so shocked. Namely, bc as a joke, I'd put something very similar on my amazon wish list to crack my cousin up and he got it for me!!!

The gift that made me fall on the floor laughing! My Edward fleece throw. His face is the whole size of the blanket! ha!

Overall just a fun, laid-back Christmas. We forgot to buy the gingerbread houses this year, so that was a bust:( but it was all good.
