Every year, one of my favorite things to do is get out the dusty tupperware boxes from under our bed and decorate the ole Christmas tree! We get a live tree every year, so it always looks different from year to year, which makes it fun. Growing up, my Grandma bought me and my brother a new ornament each year with the date on it, all the way up until just a few yrs before she passed. So between those and the kids' ornaments, our tree is always overloaded. After a few incidents w/ the tree falling over bc of the weight of all the ornaments, Randall just fishing lines the tree to the wall now:) Smart!
Here's some of my favorite ornaments, Old and New:

Love this!! A few yrs back I found an old pic of Randall sitting on Santa's lap.
Classic! |
Evan, at a year, on Santa's lap. The next year he hated Santa:) So I just
love this pic and how happy he is:) |
| Mom gave me a set of 3 mother-of-pearl frames. This is me, as a kid, sitting on my Grandpa's lap. I love how big my hair is! |
| another one of the frames, with Miles' baby announcement pic inside:) |
| Just got these at a yard sale...vintage rattan booties! So cool! notice the fishing line:) |
| Love both of these. The needlepoint horse on the left is the first ornament I got from my G'ma, circa 1978! The vintage flocked deer is from a yard sale I just went to. He had them all marked 25 cents! what a steal! |
and my 3rd vintage I bought. Santa!! I KNOW HIM! Notice the old school
homemade reindeer to the right. Randall made that when he was a kid:) |
This has always been one of my favorites, bc this was my favorite ornament as a child.
says 1980 on there! pretty awesome for back then--engraved and all. This is s'posed to be me in my bed:) |
Hope you enjoyed! I just love Christmas and the magic it brings. I think I'll leave the tree up for another week or so;)
